2h agoThe annual Bronx Pride Festival made its return to Melrose on Saturday.
The festival, hosted by Destination Tomorrow, concludes an event-packed Bronx Pride Week.
The festivities were hosted by two New York natives, Aja from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and Jack Gorgeous Gucci from the FX show “Pose.” Westchester Avenue was packed with people celebrating pride, enjoying games, food, and prizes.
"We still have significant things to celebrate, and we want to celebrate even though we are up against such adversity, we want to take time to celebrate the victories we've had over the years," said Sean Ebony Coleman, founder and executive director of Destination Tomorrow.
The next major New York City pride event is the NYC Pride Parade which will happen on June 25.
