In addition to Father's Day, the month of June also marks Men's Health Awareness month.
Since men typically have high mortality from complications of cholesterol-related problems, News 12 spoke with Doctor Guido Macchiavello to find out tips for men to stay healthy.
Macchiavello says keeping cholesterol under 200 is key, along with eating lots of fruit and vegetables.
He also says to avoid animal fat, including butter and even margarine because it's processed, dairy, fried foods, and red meat as much as possible.
