New York City is preparing its students for jobs in the tech sector through an investment deal with Google.
Mayor Eric Adams announced this afternoon that the city Department of Education and CUNY will be working with Google to provide students with career connections, learning opportunities and paid learning experiences in the field of tech.
It's part of the city's Future Ready NYC initiative, which works with employers to provide students with a pathway to high-growth careers.
The announcement comes alongside a new $19 million investment for 100 Future Ready NYC high schools.
