The Department of Education (DOE) has refused to relocate students at M.S. 577, saying that despite the mold found in several classrooms, the school is now clean and safe for children.
Several angry parents left in the middle of an emergency meeting held with the DOE. According to school officials, 20 percent of students have been missing class because parents are concerned about health issues.
News 12 Brooklyn spoke with many of the parents who left and they said they were frustrated and that their children will not be reporting to school Tuesday.
