Zippia.com has come out with a list of the smelliest states in the U.S., and New Jersey is not the smelliest!

According to the list, New Jersey is ranked seventh.

The list was determined by air quality and what percentage of that state is made up by landfills. Population density and dental health were also taken into account.

Maryland was ranked first, followed by California and Florida.

South Dakota and North Dakota were ranked at the end.
