Two good Samaritans in south Williamsburg are trying to find a new home for an abandoned pooch.
Kevin Hicks and his girlfriend Connie discovered the pit bull, who they named Applejack, tied to a light pole Monday night. They say she was dirty, hungry and limping.
ASPCA was called, but the couple didn't want her going to a shelter, especially if she could be euthanized, so they decided to be her foster parents.
The couple says they would love to keep Applejack, who is believed to be 2 years old, but they don't have enough time or space to care for her permanently. However, she'll be living with them until a loving family is found.
