The Dollhouse Cosmetics in Bed-Stuy has reopened one year after a devasting fire reduced it to rubble.

The beauty bar is owned by Chyna Russell and specializes in makeovers, microblading and eyelash extensions.
“I believe that when you look good, you feel good,” says Russell.
The store was completely burned down and had a lot of water damage after the fire that happened just one week after its grand opening.
Russell says she made sure not to give up even when others were discouraged, following through and reopening a year later.
“Sometimes negative things in your life, you have to turn into a positive,” says Russell.
