Multiple toys were stolen this week from Assemblyman William Colton's Brooklyn office.

The toys, which were in a Toys for Tots bin in the assemblyman's front lobby, were set to be donated to the Marlboro Houses Toy Drive and other events in the Gravesend neighborhood.

“Unfortunately values in this current society are not what they used to be," said Colton. “Maybe somebody had children that needed toys, but that’s not the way to do it."

The assemblyman says his office has seen a greater need this year for these donations.

“Whenever there is a choice between health care, food, rent and toys for the children – most parents are going to make the decision to cut back on the toys," he said.

For those who want to help fill the box, brand-new toys can be brought to Assemblyman Colton's district office at 155 Kings Highway during office hours.
