The Department of Transportation (DOT) is taking new measures for safer streets in Pelham Bay.
Crews have added traffic signs warning drivers to slow down as they come off the Hutchinson River Parkway. They also installed a 25 mph speed limit sign and arrows reminding motorists of a turn as the service road becomes Pelham Parkway south.
Most residents in the area say they're pleased with the progress, but hope more signs are still going up.
