The city's Department of Transportation rolled out a new pilot program today that aims to cut down the wait time after getting a boot put on your vehicle.
The program will allow those with boots on their cars to call a number, pay their bill via credit card and get a code to take the boot off themselves. The boot must be returned to the city within 24 hours.
The pilot program will begin in Brooklyn and will expand to other boroughs throughout the summer.
