Driver seriously injured in Stamford SUV collision

It happened in front of 2635 Long Ridge Rd. around 4:30 a.m. Police say a Nissan SUV was exiting a parking lot when it collided with a Volkswagen SUV that was heading north.

A driver was seriously injured in a crash early Sunday morning, police say.
It happened in front of 2635 Long Ridge Rd. around 4:30 a.m.
Police say a Nissan SUV was exiting a parking lot when it collided with a Volkswagen SUV that was heading north.
Both vehicles were severely damaged. The driver of the Nissan, a 39-year-old Norwalk man, had to be extricated from the vehicle and has seriously, potentially life-threatening injuries, police say.
The driver and passenger of the Volkswagen were injured, but those injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
All three were taken to Stamford Hospital.
