Brooklyn drivers are being warned to expect some congestion if traveling around the borough this weekend.
The Bed-Stuy Annual Community Walk/Run is set for Sunday and is expected to create traffic in the area between Bedford and Patchen avenues. Closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. for the 10K race, which will also feature music and family entertainment.
A full closure of the Manhattan-bound Brooklyn Bridge will also slow people down until 6 a.m. Monday morning. Drivers should stick with other downtown crossings or use mass transit.
Weekend track work is scheduled on subway lines throughout the borough. Riders should allow extra time and double check schedules.
