The situation has grasped the attention of local elected officials, eventually making its way to the FBI and a hearing on Capitol Hill Tuesday.
Right now, there are very little answers, although the Pentagon told News 12 that it does not appear that these drones are from a foreign adversary.
Rumors are circulating online that the drones are coming from Iran - the Pentagon also shut those rumors down to News 12 as well.
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis has raised her concerns about the drones, too.
She says what is most concerning right now is the fact that the government seems to know nothing about the situation.
