Red Nose Day is officially on May 23rd, but the Brooklyn Flea Market got it going early this weekend.
The Comic Relief is a New York City nonprofit that started the highly anticipated event back in 2015. Nearly 10 years later, they have raised more than $375 million for 35 million children in the U.S and across the world.
Brooklynites took part in the celebration on Saturday afternoon by getting a look into the true mission of Red Nose Day.
“ We are here celebrating, and what we say is: less childhood poverty, more childhood," said Jaime Lash, Marketing Director of Comic Relief. "That's our focus. And we want to have fun doing it!"
News 12's Daniella Rodriguez was at the kick off this weekend.
