The Sundance Film Festival is coming to Brooklyn for a second year. The East Coast version of the festival kicks off Thursday at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The slate will include almost 50 films, lectures, musical events and a reunion for Sundance alumni.Organizers of the 11-day event say audiences will be able to see some of the notable films from January's Sundance Film Festival in Utah. They say the musical performances will feature artists who took part in the Sundance Institute's Composers Lab or have Brooklyn roots.Among the films shown last year was "Little Miss Sunshine." The film went on to become a surprise hit that summer and won two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor and Best Original Screenplay. The Sundance Institute at the Brooklyn Academy of Music runs until June 10.
