An East New York mom longs for answers after the NYPD says her 30-year-old son washed up in Newtown Creek, in East Williamsburg on July 28.

Damani Alexander was last seen by friends at the Knockdown Center in Queens.

One of the final texts he sent to his friends read, "I think dude's trying to kill me."

Police say he was found days later in the creek, a branch of the East River, by nearby workers.

Two other men were found in the same creek just months apart after last being seen near the Brooklyn Mirage this past year.

Desiree Nicholson, Alexander's mother, told News 12 she needs answers to the loss of her son.

"For them [police] to say that there is no foul play and no blunt trauma, and no marks of violence is very unusual," Nicholson said.

News 12 reached out to the Medical Examiner's Office for a statement but did not hear back as of Tuesday evening.
