A Little League team in Eastchester is one step closer to winning the state title.

The 12U Eastchester Little League women's team is one of eight teams remaining in the state tournament.

They went off to New City Thursday to take on the 12U Massapequa Little League team, as Eastchester police escorted the team bus to the Gov. Mario Cuomo Bridge.

Prior to their departure, there was a pep rally in Eastchester, and Town supervisor Tony Colavita spoke to the girls before their send off to New City.
