An environmentally friendly shop is having more than an economic impact on one Brooklyn neighborhood.
Green in BKLYN in Clinton Hill sells a wide variety of products that are all deemed eco-friendly, including soap, stationary made out of recycled paper, and beeswax candles.
Owner Elissa Olin says she started the store in 2009 as a way to spread her love for the green movement.
Now she says community members routinely come back looking for new products and new ways to be eco-friendly.
Olin says some new products will include solar backpacks and eco-friendly toys for kids.
