The fire at a Brooklyn warehouse has been upgraded to eight alarms. The fire started in the back of the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse and quickly engulfed the entire complex. Seven warehouses were totally damaged and will be torn down. In total, about 350 firefighters reported to the scene and at least eight suffered minor injuries. Two were taken to Bellevue Hospital and six were treated at the scene. Three fireboats used water from the East River to battle the blaze. Fire officials, who are calling the fire suspicious, say the building was vacant when the fire broke out. Real estate developer Joshua Guttman, who planned to eventually turn the building into condos, owns the warehouse. Related Information
