Police say an elderly woman was found dead today in her Parkchester apartment.

The woman was found after neighbors complained of a foul smell lasting for days. Neighbor Annaliese Edwards says she knew something was wrong because the woman's weekly coupons and fliers had been piling up outside her door.

The medical examiner says the cause of death was heart disease but couldn't say exactly when the woman died.
