Employees of a Bushwick grocery store rallied outside their workplace to get money they say they are due.
Demonstrators say they may be owed as much as $1 million. Employees claim the supermarket fails to pay minimum wage. They are calling for a boycott of Associated grocery store at 229 Knickerbocker Ave. Some Bushwick residents say they are willing to lend their support to the cause.
Lawyers for the grocery store?s owners issued a letter, urging workers to return to work. However, the attorneys did not address the issue of whether payment was due.
