Europe's largest electric vehicle charging company opened an office in Brooklyn on Tuesday.
EV-Box launched its new location at NYU Poly inside the MetroTech Center in Downtown Brooklyn.
Currently, there are about 500 public electric charging stations in New York, but those stations are from other companies.
"You see a lot of charging stations in California and not so many on the East Coast, so we want to bring them to Brooklyn. There's a high impact on local air quality," says EV-Box's Tim Kreukniet.
The company plans to install hundreds of electric vehicle chargers in New York state in the next six months.
