It was a traffic nightmare for evening commuters Friday on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.
Officials say a fork lift fell off a flat bed truck on the BQE and spilled fuel on the roadway. Traffic was backed up for miles from 4th Avenue to Hamilton Parkway.
Multiple lanes on the expressway were shut down due to the spill. No injuries were reported.
