A former "American Gladiator" contestant from the Bronx is helping others get fit with her own form of boot camp.
At just 106 pounds, Jessica Garcia went toe-to-toe with gladiators nearly twice her size.
"Well, I gotta tell you man, coming from the Bronx you already come out with some spunk and fire," Garcia says.
After an appearance on NBC's hit show, Garcia is showing others the value of fitness with her program. Her clients say Garcia's regimen and peppy attitude are a winning combination.
"You can have any personal trainer," client Virginia Wong says. "But if their personality [stinks] you're just like, 'ugh, I don't want to do this.'"
After taking her boot camp to the West Coast, Garcia hopes to open a cheerleading center in the Bronx.
