More than 50 family members of 37-year-old Andrea Neyra, of Meriden, stood outside their Bridgeport attorney's office Wednesday morning chanting, "¡Justicia para Andrea!"

"Andrea was not just the kindest person alive; she was the leader of our family," said Andrea's brother, Jorge Azana. "We will not stop until we get justice for my sister."

The Connecticut State Police Major Crime Squad is investigating the death. Neyra's family says her body was found inside the Middlefield home of "somebody she knew" Oct.19.

Azana, speaking at the top of his voice, said, "I swear to God, we're going to find out the truth and I swear to God justice is coming for you, bro!"

The family's attorney, Dennis Bradley, said he'll be seeking "both criminal and civil relief on the family's behalf."

"We want the truth to come to light, we want a full investigation, and we want people to be held accountable for whatever misdeeds they may have committed," Bradley said.

The family has started a GoFundMe to help support Neyra's two children, and to help with funeral expenses.
