(AP) - The family of a fatally beaten Ecuadoreanimmigrant is urging authorities to find his assailants.

Jose Sucuzhanay died late Friday at ElmhurstHospital. His family is holding a news conference at the hospitalSunday.

Sucuzhanay, a 31-year-old real estate broker, was viciouslybeaten by men who yelled anti-Hispanic and anti-gay slurs at himand his brother early on Dec. 7.

Police were searching for three suspects in the attack, whichhas outraged the City Council speaker and other political leaders.The New York Police Department's hate crime task force isinvestigating what prosecutors have called an appalling eruption ofbigotry.
