The family who spent this week worried over a missing elderly Brooklyn man got the news they desperately wanted to hear Saturday.
Relatives and friends of James Borden gathered at Mount Ollie Baptist Church in Brownsville to pray that the 85-year-old man who has dementia and went missing would be found safe. Their prayers were answered merely minutes into the vigil.
"It's such an overwhelming feeling to hear that we found him. I just kept crying and crying. I didn't want to cry, but it started to weigh on my heart," said Borden's daughter, Josephine Jenkins.
Borden's family says he went missing on Monday in Crown Heights when he ran away from his aide and got on the subway.
He was found Saturday at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens.
His family searched and called hospitals all over the city for days.
"She went back, gave him the date of birth and his name popped right up, You just don't know that feeling when you lose somebody you love," Jenkins said.
"A miracle truly happened today. There is a God out there. Thank you!" added son-in-law Keith Scott.
The family said they have a lot to be grateful for and they'll be hugging Borden a little tighter this holiday season.
