Family and friends of a Brooklyn man who was shot by a police officer gathered in Harlem Saturday to speak out against the NYPD.
Appearing at the National Action Network, Sham Walker's daughters say the shooting of their father was unjust.
Walker, a 49-year-old Army veteran, was shot last Saturday by a police officer in Brooklyn. Police say Walker saw a man on his stoop and asked him to leave, not knowing it was an undercover cop. According to authorities, Walker hit the officer and grabbed for his gun, which accidentally went off.
Walker's family, however, insists violence was not in his nature.
