A market in Bedford-Stuyvesant is hoping to help keep residents healthy this summer.
The Hattie Carthan Community Farmers Market in held its seasonal opening Saturday.
A variety of local foods that are often cheaper and harder to find in the supermarket are available at the market.
Educational and cooking classes will also be held at the market.
The market is open through November, but organizers are hoping to eventually make it a year-round garden for the community to enjoy.
