A 24-year-old accused of shooting a teen in Brooklyn is expected to appear in court Thursday, officials say.

Ralief Bradford is charged with murder and gang assault in the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Justin Richey.

Investigators say Richey got into an argument over the weekend with three people, before he was shot multiple times. His death came just a day after his 16th birthday.

Loved ones say the teen was an avid basketball fan who had aspirations of becoming a doctor.
