Closing arguments wrapped up Thursday in the police hearing of an NYPD officer who used a chokehold on Eric Garner before his death.
During closing arguments, Officer Daniel Pantaleo’s attorney Stuart London put the blame on Eric Garner’s health and his decision to resist arrest.
Garner’s mother walked out of the hearing and called London “a snake.”
“He said everything was justified. 'There was no chokehold.' They showed over and over again that there was a chokehold,” says Gwen Carr, Garner’s mother.
Pantaleo is accused of administrating a deadly chokehold on Garner amid his plea, “I can’t breathe.”
He is currently fighting for his job in the NYPD. His fate is in the hands of an administrative judge.
