Faulty elevators in a Cropsey Avenue high-rise have left more than 100 seniors trapped inside their building.
Some tenants in the Regina Pacis high-rise say the two broken elevators have been an ongoing problem. They say many residents in the building are wheelchair-bound or bedridden. They say they feel helpless now that the elevators are broken.
The Regina Pacis Tenants? Association says the building staff has been working tirelessly on elevator repairs. They say the management has been working around the clock to fix the problem.
While the repairs are being made, many tenants who can use the stairs are helping those apartment-bound residents with errands and groceries.
