FDNY: 1 person dead in Brooklyn apartment fire

The fire broke out on the third floor of the six-floor building, and one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The FDNY says a fire at a Brooklyn apartment building has killed one person.
According to the NYPD, the victim of the fire was a 76-year-old man. He has not been identified at this time.
Fire officials say they received a call for the fire just before 2 p.m. on Monday and were able to get the fire under control in under one hour.
The fire broke out on the third floor of the six-floor building, and the 76-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. 
Fire marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
