The FDNY says a man and a child were hit by a school bus in Crown Heights around 7:30 a.m.
Authorities say they responded to a call that a person was pinned under a school bus on Buffalo Avenue and Eastern Parkway.
A 56-year-old bus driver was heading north and making a left-hand turn when he hit two people. The people were identified as a 79-year-old man and 9-year-old female child, according to police.
Both the victims were taken to Maimonedes Medical Center and are in stable condition.
Neighbors say the intersection is often congested and that drivers run red lights.
At least two children were on the bus at the time. Both were checked out by medics on the scene.
The bus driver stayed on the scene. No arrests were made.
The bus involved in the crash is with Total Transportation. News 12 reached out to the company for more information.
