FDNY: 229 brushfires in 2 weeks citywide breaks record

The FDNY released historic NYC fire data.
Since Oct. 29, the FDNY reports responding to 229 brushfires citywide - the most in New York City history.
FDNY data shows 67 brushfires ignited in the Bronx in that same time frame. The Bronx holds the highest number of all five boroughs.
With drought conditions persisting in the boroughs, the FDNY urged New Yorkers to remain vigilant.
The city continues to issue Fire Weather Warnings as conditions worsen.
