Police say a man was shot inside a building in Bushwick early Monday morning, and one person is now in custody.

According to the NYPD, it happened just after 5 a.m. at 182 Wilson Ave. Officers say a 35-year-old man was shot in the stomach inside the building. EMS rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Police have arrested Angel Lozada, 23, in connection to the shooting. He was charged with three counts of assault, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, menacing and harassment.

The address on Wilson Avenue appears to be an apartment building, though police couldn’t say if the shooting happened in one of the apartments or elsewhere inside. Directly across the street is the NYPD’s Patrol Borough Brooklyn North facility.

No other injuries were reported. Detectives from the 83rd Precinct are still investigating.

It’s still unclear what led to the shooting.
