FDNY officials said eight people were hurt, including a 3-year-old toddler, during a Saturday night fire at an apartment building in Bedford Park.

News 12 was told numerous people needed to be rescued from fire escapes at the building on East 199th Street.

A fire chief said a charred e-bike that was observed at the scene may have played a bigger part in the fire. He added that the fire was "suspicious."

FDNY officials said all those who were hurt are doing OK.

A exact cause of the fire was not immediately clear as of Saturday night.
