The FDNY and NYPD will go head-to-head on the football field this Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
News 12 caught up with both teams on Monday as they get in their final practices before the 48th annual Fun City Bowl.
It's a rivalry that goes back decades.
This year marks the 20 years since of 9/11. The FDNY lost 22 members of their team on that tragic day.
Both teams have also lost several members since.
The last time they played this game there was just months after 9/11. This year's game is about honoring those who were lost then and since.
"I know some guys that hugged each other before they went in because they might not see each other. So, if people can see one thing from that, it's that people knew they might not live and still ran into those buildings," said Steve Orr, of FDNY Football.
"It's a chance for us to come together as a city and just be together and remember how many lives were changed 20 years ago this year," said Lt. Emmanuel Kwo, of NYPD Sports.
Right before the game, they'll also honor those lost on 9/11.
The events begin at 9 a.m. on June 6 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
