Members of the FDNY battled a four-alarm fire in Williamsburg that burned for over six hours on Tuesday.
Five firefighters have suffered injuries while fighting the flames that broke out at 304 Hewes St. around 11 a.m.
The fire broke out inside of a lumber facility.
The FDNY says that the lumber facility is connected to a three-story building next door that caught fire as well.
"It started in the one-story building and it was a heavy fire condition which was extending into the three-story building," said FDNY Chief of Department John Hodgens. "A heavy load of combustibles. Just a lot of stock that was stored in these buildings...it's compact...difficult to get to the seed of the fire."
More than 200 firefighters responded to the scene, according to the FDNY.
No civilians were hurt as a result of this fire, but the FDNY says that the flames will likely continue for at least a few more hours.
