New York City officials are investigating a car slamming into the side of a Brooklyn building on Malcolm X Boulevard and Macon Street Tuesday.
According to neighbors in the area, the crash sounded like it was an explosion happening outside of their window. The woman who has owned the building for 15 years says, "We don't know what happened, but we heard about 15 seconds of wheels squealing, banging, crashing and all kinds of nonsense. I look out onto Macon and I'm like, 'Oh my gosh, they hit our house…’ ran down the steps and just disbelief."
The building owner tells News 12 the fence outside the building seems to have sustained the brunt of the crash. They also say the building will be inspected by the Department of Buildings.
