First responders say a person is dead after being struck by a train Friday morning in Brooklyn.

Firefighters responded to East 16 Street and Sheepshead Bay Road at around 7 a.m. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, fire officials say.

According to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the Q train was heading southbound entering the Sheepshead Bay station. The Q trains have been delayed in both directions.

An express track from Kings Highway to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue has been implemented.
