FDNY investigators are trying to determine what caused a massive three-alarm fire at a Hunts Point supermarket last night.
The flames caused extensive damage to an Associated Supermarket on Hunts Points Avenue at around 6:30 p.m. Shoppers say they were surprised to see the store still standing this morning.
Nearby residents also say that they'll now have to trek down to the Fine Fare on Southern Boulevard, which is a half-mile away, just to get their groceries.
The owner says he plans to reopen the store, but he's not sure how long that could take.
