A 56-year-old woman was fatally struck by tow truck early Saturday morning in Westchester Square, according to authorities.

Police say she was crossing 1602 Seddon Street just after 12 a.m. when a white Chevy Silverado pick-up tow-truck hit her and then took off.

It happened steps away from Montefiore Westchester Square Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

“People should be more concerned about other people,” said a hospital employee who did not want to be identified. “…Drivers need to be careful about speeding and pedestrians. They need to be more concerned about pedestrians than themselves.”

It's the fourth incident just this past week in the Bronx where someone has died from being hit by a vehicle.

Bronx resident Ali Raza said she is not surprised.

“I believe drivers in the Bronx in general are just really reckless," she said.
