The Female Fight Club held their first ever “Witches Ride” in Riverdale on Sunday.
Participants dressed up as witches and decorated their bikes for the ride – all to support asylum seekers coming to New York.
They donated clothes, canned foods, and other necessary essentials they say are needed to give families the ability to move forward as immigrants in this country.
“As a member of an immigrant family, I think it's very important we support our people. We have no idea the travesties they’ve gone through and the hardships. And to just give them a little token to start them off would mean a great deal to them,” said one attendee.
The owner of the Female Fight Club tells News 12 she hopes to eventually have more people next year participate in this bike ride to keep the community involved and together.
