Many families and kids came out for a celebration Saturday at the Brooklyn Children's Museum.
Organizers say the Caribbean Festival is about showcasing the culture and history of a large part of the central Brooklyn community.
The festival brings together special performances and activities for hundreds of families. It also offers 30 vendors -- many of them from Brooklyn.
Festival goers are able to taste food, create artwork and hear stories with Caribbean roots.

The festival will continue Sunday.
