A fire broke out Friday morning inside a residential building on Sterling Place, shutting down part of a busy Park Slope block.

The call came in around 8:53 a.m. for a fire at 118 Sterling Place, between Sixth and Seventh avenues. The FDNY says 25 units and more than 100 members responded to the scene.

Video from the scene shows thick smoke and flames coming from the upper floors of the building as firefighters worked from the fire escape and deployed a drone to get a view from above.

Michael, a neighbor, said he realized something was wrong after hearing sirens.

“I walked outside, saw a trickle of smoke coming out of the building and the next thing was flames and smoke enveloping the top two floors. It looked serious and I could feel the heat.”

Despite the intense response, FDNY confirmed there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
