More than 135 firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze on Washington Avenue near 180th Street Friday evening.
According to fire officials, the blaze started in the basement of a three-story abandoned home, but quickly spread to four other houses. Three of those homes were occupied. One home collapsed due to the fire.
Fire officials say that a Metro-North substation behind the houses also caught fire.
According to officials, no injuries have been reported.
