It was a busy morning for firefighters in Brooklyn Friday, battling two fires just blocks away.
The first was on Bedford Avenue in Bed-Stuy, and the second was on South Fifth Street in Williamsburg.
The fires broke out just a mile away from each other.

The fire on Fifth Street started around 8:45 a.m. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the fire in the top floor apartments of the four-story building. Firefighters were able to get it all under control in about an hour. Officials say two firefighters were hurt, but are expected to be OK.

Meanwhile, about 20 minutes earlier firefighters were called to 801 Bedford Ave. in Bed-Stuy. They spent about an hour battling a fire on the sixth floor. No one was hurt.

The fire marshals are investigating both fires.
