More than 100 firefighters were on the scene of an overnight blaze that left some Midwood families without a home.
Tenants at the Ocean Avenue apartment building say flames broke out on the fourth floor at around 1:30 a.m. and spread up to the fifth and sixth floors. Officials say that only some apartments were damaged by the fire, but others suffered water damage.
There were no injuries and the Red Cross is working to help the displaced residents.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
