A new Apple Store is officially opening up at the intersection of Bedford Avenue and North 3rd Street on Saturday.
Unlike some Apple stores in Manhattan, the Brooklyn version has more of a neighborhood look to it with a brick exterior design instead of a glass design.
Many of the workers were outside early Thursday morning cleaning off the sidewalk and spraying down the windows preparing for Saturday's grand opening.
The building used to be home to a bagel shop, pharmacy and yoga studio.
The Apple Store will be the latest corporate addition to the neighborhood down the street from a new Whole Foods.
While one resident thought the store might push native Brooklyn residents out of the neighborhood, others thought it was good for the community.
"I think it's great," one resident said. "I mean we all go to the Meatpacking [District] for the Apple Store so it'll make the neighborhood self-sufficient..."
Apple also made a big announcement Thursday. In the next couple of weeks, another Apple Store will be opening inside the oculus at the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan.
